Security when flying

Postby Mavikiz » Fri May 26, 2017 11:11 am

There are two articles today in the LGC news. The first article is about The Association of Turkish Cypriots Abroad (ATCA) who claim the decision of the UK government that transit passengers, who fly with Pegasus airlines, to London must disembark, go through a security check in Turkey and board the aircraft again, is “unfair and discriminatory”.

The second article relates to a bombe scare causing an AtlasGlobal Airlines flight to be grounded. The plane was preparing to leave Istanbul airport for Ercan in North Cyprus.

How can the The Association of Turkish Cypriots Abroad (ATCA) claim descrimination because people are required to go through extra security. Turkish Cypriots are not the only people on the Pegasus flight.
The grounding of the AtlasGlobal flight demonstrates that all precautions must be taken no matter who is on board.

In this world where terrorists abound and no one is safe, The Association of Turkish Cypriots Abroad need to stop moaning and playing the victim for that is what they will be if a jihadi maniac manages to board a Pegasus light.
