Backwoods Girne

Postby LooseBoots » Sat Dec 21, 2013 10:37 am

What a gem. Having purchased vouchers from we had ordered a T bone steak and Beef tenterloin. The offer which was half price, included a glass of wine each. We booked by phone, advisable, and went upstairs to a bar area and was welcomed by a charming young lady who showed us into a small room with tables laid out.

A very polite waiter came to take our vouchers, asked how we wanted the meat cooked. We like it medium rare and that`s exactly what we got. It was the most tender, tastiest steak I have tasted in a while. They have only been in business a month and at the moment are not geared up for desserts. But the food was excellent and the wine, well the fact that we ordered 3 more glasses between us tells it`s own story.

We will most definitely be back and more than happy to pay the full price. They do have a facebook page.:D

Backwoods is 2 doors away from Cafe George in the center of town and is upstairs. Don`t make the mistake of going to Pizza Town which is downstairs immediately next to Cafe George.
Backwoods is only open in the evening
