Tried this new restaurant last night and for once will offer a recommendation to a newly opened establishment.

This is an Indian Restaurant that is Indian!! The menu has many of the same items found elsewhere but there are some that we have never heard of. The service was excellent, food well presented and as one of our group commented "you can see what is in the sauce it is not just an homogenous mess".

This is a restaurant that should offer competition to the tired fare that is served in the existing so called Indian Restaurants.

It is on the Mare Monte road in Alsancak, previously called by many names, more recently Bar 88 and La Rosh. Coming from Lapta, turn left opposite Bereket Restaurant. From Girne, turn right after Ya Beles.

I understand there is a take away but not delivery service, tel - 05338371741

Love this Place and the Guy that owns it.

You are so right, all the others are run by pakistani.

You need an Indian Chef to cook a good indian dish.

Indian Food – excellent, love it, flavorful, healthy, tasty, spicy, seasonal, aromatic, nourishing, well balanced, sensual – these are some terms used to describe Indian Food...!!!

Cooking Indian cuisine requires the uses of a combination of aromatic spices like Cayenne Pepper, Turmeric, Coriander Powder and Garam Masala which is a combination of Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cloves, Black Cardamom and Nutmeg. Each family has their own recipe of making Garam Masala. In addition of these Spices, Fresh Ginger, Lemon farms Garlic, Onion and Green Chili Peppers with Cilantro and Mint are used in most preparations. Indian food is not necessarily spicy – by toning down the amount of Cayenne Pepper and Garam Masala, the food can be cooked with flavors with being overly spicy.
