Sirin Yali Fish Restaurant, Karsiyaka

Postby joandjelly » Sun Jan 27, 2013 10:29 pm

This lovely restaurant on the sea in Karsiyaka has recently re-opened. We went for lunch today and it is was lovely. We had the full meze (included fried mussels, octopus, calamari, halloumi skewers, fantastic garlic mushrooms amongst many other things), I had grilled sea-bream which was beautifully moist and husband had sea-bream which was filleted and cooked in the oven with a cheesy sauce. All was served with salad, lovely wedge style potatoes (much better than chips), bread etc. We were then offered fresh fruit and was also given a plate of katmer and kumquat macun and finally Turkish coffee. I had a couple of soda waters and husband had a small bottle of raki with 2 small bottles of water and the bill came to 113TL. It was lovely and warm and pretty busy with locals, Brits and Russians.

From the square in Karsiyaka take the left-hand road (by the coffee shop) and drive down as far as you can. The restaurant is right on the sea with parking opposite.
